March workout plan

Since I explained most of everything on my weight loss update post, this one will be pretty short and sweet.

I'm cutting out the jumping jacks from my routine. Mainly because I had to do so many in one day, but also because I don't really feel a need to do them. I know I said they were supposed to help the glutes, but the part it helps is not the part I'm really concerned about.

As far as my routine goes, I sort of kind of came up with this one my self. It's basically the same workout challenges before but tweaked to my liking.

Weight Loss Update

Okay, so I know I should have posted this a while ago. I know this. But life never quite works out how we want it to, right? Anyway... Let's talk progress.

First of, let me begin by saying I didn't complete my workout like I should have. I did horrible to be honest. I only made it through the first two weeks of Hip Hop Abs and 2 weeks and a half of all the challenges. I could lie and say my schedule prevented me from doing it, but honestly, I blame the jumping jacks. I know jumping jacks aren't hard to do, but doing so many at a time just made me feel discouraged. I'm cutting them out of my routine for next month, but I'll explain that in another post.

As far as the diet goes, I stuck to it for the most part. I mean no cheating, no shortcuts, no games. I'm actually pretty proud of myself. But I did break it the day before Valentine's day and I haven't been back on it since. I got sick the following week and had absolutely no appetite and then once I got better I started eating pretty badly.

Fat Fast: Get Your Body Into Ketosis!

Hello all! I actually have about a week's worth of work that I need to complete in a short matter of time, but since I love all 1 of my followers (Basically 0 since it's only my friend that follows me) I figured I'd make this post now, before I forget.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TRY DOING THIS FAST IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY ON THE ATKINS DIET OR IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON TRANSITIONING INTO A LOW CARB DIET FIRST. JUMPING FROM A HIGH CARB DIET TO A FAT FAST CAN CAUSE YOUR BODY HARM
As I previously posted, my diet plan for this time being is the Atkins. Within the first few days my body immediately went into ketosis (fat burning mode for those of you not up on the low carb lingo) and my keto strips were dark purple. I mean the darkest it could go. But a week and a half later and a couple pounds lighter, my body would just not get into ketosis. I originally thought it was because I only had a few more pounds left to lose that my body wasn't able to get into it as fast as before. However, after all this research I've done I believe it's because I wasn't getting enough carbs, and the carbs I were getting weren't really coming from vegetables. Anyway, back to the point, I was really in a slump about my keto strips (they were completely pale) so I went to my best friend, Google.

My Diet Plan

This post is going to have to be a little rushed. My daughter is having a hissy fit right now. But I felt like I should post the workout and diet plan on the same day. My diet plan is really simple anyway. It honestly doesn't even need a whole post, I just felt like it would have made the other post too long if I added it on there.

All I'm basically doing is the Atkins diet. I'm sure most of you know what that is, but if you don't you can visit www.atkins.com to learn everything about it. This is just my diet plan until I get to my goal weight. After that I'll just be living a healthy lifestyle. That's about it though! Plain and simple. I'll try to post some of the meals I make on my instagram page to give you guys ideas. I think I have it linked somewhere on here but if not it's @beauty_and_bottles.

But anyway, I have to go play with my baby before she starts getting mad. Blog to you later!

My Workout Plan

Okay.. I know I was supposed to have this up ages ago, but remember that Chemistry class I was talking about? Yea, well it's already throughly kicking my butt. Plus I was in-between what I should do as far as my diet went. But now I have it all planned out and ready to share with you!

Okay so I basically have a little workout "gumbo" going on.

For my cardio I'm using Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs workout DVDs. I think this DVD set is absolutely perfect for those of you that are beginners. It works you out but still takes you at relatively slow place, so you don't feel overwhelmed. I was attempting to do Insanity the last time I was working out, and man... It was so difficult that when it came time to workout I felt so discouraged. It made me not even want to do anything. So make sure whatever you choose for cardio is something that you can handle.

In addition to Hip Hop Abs I'm doing several 30 day-challenges. I'm doing the 30-day crunch challenge again. If you don't remember it from my last post here it is.

Update

To say it's been a while since I made a post would be an understatement. It's funny because a lot has changed since my last post, but at the same time a lot hasn't. I was so wrapped up between my daughter and school last semester that I didn't pay my blog, or my goals for that matter, any mind. However, now that my baby is getting older and now that I'm taking all online classes, I should be able to put more focus into myself and my blog/vlog. Hopefully. I am taking 19 credit hours so you may have to bear with me. And that includes a Chemistry course plus lab. Did you know you could take a lab course online? I didn't. But that's beside the point. I'm here to day to give you an update on how everything is going.

WEIGHT
I still have yet to reach my weight goal, but I have lost a good amount of weight. I don't remember if I posted on here how much I weighed when I first started this blog, but when I checked last week I was 126. I would have been reached my goal if I didn't go back and forth between my eating habits and exercise routine. So until I perfect my self discipline, I'll do what I usually do and find someone or something to be a motivator. Now this only works if you know your will is going to be strong enough. I have three tips to finding a good motivator.
